The Ideal Business

I always wanted to run my own business. My life so far has been devoted to the ups and downs, and failures and successes of several different businesses doing many different things over the past 30 plus years. The longest running and most successful business that I have enjoyed working has been doing Business Systems Consulting and Accounting Services. Sound boring? Well... I love accounting so it is not boring to me. Mentioning the word "accounting" is not a great conversation starter. Before I even finish saying what I do, people's eyes glaze over and they even tend to take a couple steps backward.

My Ideal business is one where I can work flexible hours, doing something I love to do, AND pay my bills doing it. This website began as the foundation of a new business venture for me. It will continue to grow and change as I put into practice the steps of growing this business into my ideal business. The products and services offered are ones that would have been useful to me when I was starting out or when I was at a point in life where I was starting over again.

It's purpose is to provide people with a place to start making changes in their business and life that they want to make. The only way I know how to do that is to share my story and what I have learned along the way. The products for sale on this website are ones that have helped me along the way.

The focus is to help small businesses start back up and for those who want to start a business for the first time. Because I am who I am and the growth of my business ventures over the years has been directly connected to my own personal growth, what this website has to offer includes products related to those things that contributed to my personal growth over the years.

When you Lose Your Job You Don't Lose Your Mind... You Take It With You!

From a working perspective, the most devastating thing in our working lives is to lose a job that we like and not be able to pay our bills, support our family, or do what we want to in life. Whether you work for yourself or work for someone else the result is the same. Joblessness eats away at our self-worth and contributes to increasing levels of depression, desperation and inactivity. The hardest thing to remember is that when you walked out the door on that last day, you took with you all the knowledge and expertise that you learned while you were there. If you have had to close the doors of your business or are thinking about it, you still take with you everything you have learned. Everything that you have learned so far is the foundation for what you will be doing next in your life.

Your Mind is Your Most Valuable Resource!

We take our thoughts with us every where we go. There is no escaping from them. We form opinions and reinforce what we think and believe with everything we listen to and everything we say. Sometimes, we say the wisest things, we just didn't hear what we were saying. How and why we do the things we do ,and what motivates us to do the things we do or don't do, depends on what we want to do.

Life is a Process to be Lived not a Ladder to be Climbed!

Everything that happens in our lives contributes to how we live our lives. Our childhood is spent growing and learning how to walk, talk, read, write, and communicate. We do different things as a teenager. As a young adult we see life different than we do when we step into our 30's. By the time we are 40 we expect that our life should be all set until we retire. We should have reached the top of the ladder of success.

When you are comfortable and happy with your life, that is success in life. Wanting something more or something else does not mean that your life has been a failure. It just means you want something else.

Life Does Not End At 40!

I passed the age of 40 several years ago. The great thing about being over 40 is that I have over 20 years of experience on my resume. My life is very full. I am happy with the direction my life is taking. My life is not perfect. It doesn't have to be. If we could only go back..... Do I want to be 20 again? No Way! Now I know what I did not know then! I can do so much more with my life now than I could then. I'm looking forward to the next 20 years.
